Our founder has owned a surrogacy agency in the United States for over 13 years, she has helped countless parents realize their dreams of parenthood. As prices increased and the wait for a surrogate increased, Lisa saw the need for ethical surrogacy in another location so that parenthood could be a reality for everyone.
When the Ugandan Government reached out to her to ask how they could create ethical surrogacy legislation, Lisa realized that THIS could be the answer. A country with history and culture of strong women, a Government that cares about opportunity, education, and safety of their women and families seemed a perfect option.
Host Moms Uganda is proud to offer an affordable, safe, and ethical surrogacy program that is supported by the Ugandan Government, and the religious leaders of the country. Insurance is available to everyone, including foreign Intended Parents that wish for medical insurance for their baby. A land of women known for their fertility and strength and caring, and established sophisticated IVF Centers.
host mother will have a midwife that comes to their home each day to administer their injections before and after transfer so there is never a question on if they took their medications correctly. A social worker will visit with the surrogate each week at her home to provide any needed support and ensure that all is going well. Each surrogate is a middle class mother willing to help someone achieve their dream of parenthood and in exchange they receive an opportunity for training and capital for a business venture of their choice. Self employment holds the greatest potential for anyone in Uganda. Knowledge on running a business, saving and planning, and the financial capital to make it a reality will change the lives of her family forever! Just like your family will be changed forever.
Finally, a surrogacy model with mutual lasting benefit to both parties. Uganda has one of the highest birth rates in the world. Uganda is also a very religious country with all religions being very accepting of others and serving others is a part of their culture. Women that carry twins are given a name of honor “Nalongo” so many women are willing to have a two embryo transfer. The NICU facilities are equivalent to a level 3 NICU in the United States.
