Surrogacy
Host Moms Uganda founder, Lisa Stark Hughes was instrumental in Uganda’s Surrogacy Law. She traveled to Uganda in 2020 and met with government officials, the URA, medical professionals and facilities both private and public, attorney associations, midwife associations and licensing boards, public health, the Inter-Religious Council, tourism associations, and many more. She then helped draft the sections on the surrogacy bill. She then returned in 2022 to help prepare for implementation.

Our Egg Donor Program
Studies show that when children learn that they are donor conceived from a very young age, that they are well adjusted and have a better relationship with their parents than those that find out later. The Host Moms Uganda Egg Donor Program is based upon a range of contact options.
With DNA programs and facial recognition available there is really no way for donor to stay anonymous. So let’s begin the journey with this in mind. All donor journeys will have the option of doing a DNA test with Ancestry.com so there is a common place for connection without relying on IVF Clinics or Agencies.
Egg Donors may set their own base compensation fees. Each donor has a family health history listed on their profile with baby and current photos and education history as well as interests and hobbies.

Skilling Programs
Host Moms Uganda offers a variety of skilling programs, from Beauty, Hair, massage, computer skills, hair braiding, crafts, baking, driving, etc.
Each program also includes financial planning and entrepreneurship training so you can begin your own business after delivery. Host Moms Uganda will also help you figure out what kind of business will be most successful in your area.
After meeting with your financial consultant you will decide how much of each payment will stay in your bank account to save toward your business capital, and how much will be sent to your mobile money to spend.
After delivery, you should have the money needed to start your business.
