Invitro Fertilization (IVF) is one of several techniques available to help people with fertility issues have a child. Embryos are created by retrieving mature eggs from a woman’s ovaries and fertilized with sperm in a laboratory. The fertilized egg, called an embryo, is usually grown to a five day blastocyst and then transferred to a woman’s uterus to grow and develop.

In 2005 the first test tube baby was born in Uganda, East Africa and this was facilitated by Dr Sali and his team of embryologists. They understand the delicate needs of our prestigious patients. So Through state-of-the-art technology, innovative research, highly trained medical personnel, and specialized psychological support, WHI is proud to work with Host Moms Uganda in ethical surrogacy journeys. Dr. Arnold Sali is the son of Dr. Tamale Sali and is currently an embryologist in Texas and still travels home to Uganda and works at WHI. Dr. Arnold Sali oversees all Host Moms Uganda cases and shipment of embryos to Uganda from any location in the world. He will also be in Uganda for all Host Moms Uganda transfers as he transitions back to his family clinic in Uganda full time.

WHI not only performs IVF treatment, but they also care for patients during pregnancy and delivery. If your surrogate lives close to WHI, this can be an option for ante natal care and delivery.

WHI new facility is currently being built and will open in 2023. Stay tuned for updates for this beautiful new state of the art facility!
